Minister of Energy and Oil Engages in Energy Talks with Russian Counterpart in Moscow.

Moscow: Minister of Energy and Oil Dr. Mohi-Eddin Naeem Mohamed has met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Tsevilev on bilateral cooperation in the energy, oil, and gas sector. The two parties reviewed potential prospects for joint projects in the fields of electricity power, oil exploration and production, and fuel provision. They stressed mutual interest in developing energy dialogue between Russia and Sudan.

According to Sudan News Agency, the Russian side underscored three areas represented in investment in oil exploration and production, fuel supply, and electricity development in Sudan. The technical delegation from the Ministry of Energy and Oil presented the available opportunities for investment in oil and gas exploration and production to a number of Russian companies, including Legacy Capital, which expressed its desire to engage in investment in Sudan.

The delegation of national oil companies also discussed with the Russian Gazprom Company, one of the companies with which negotiations were held
to supply petroleum derivatives, in the presence of the Sudanese Ambassador to Russia. It is worth noting that the Minister of Energy and Oil concluded his visit to Russia on Saturday, leading a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Energy and Oil and state oil companies. However, he gave directives to the technical delegation to continue discussions with Russian companies to crystallize a deal under which a number of agreements will be signed in the oil fields.
