Kosti:The Minister of Health and Social Development in White Nile State, Dr. Al-Zein Saad Adam, has underscored the essential role pharmacists play in the healthcare system, highlighting their contribution to promoting the rational use of medicines and ensuring drug security.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Adam made these remarks during a World Pharmacist Day celebration at the Judicial Authority Hall in Kosti. The event, held under the slogan "Empowering the Pharmacist for a Better Future," was attended by leaders from the health sector and representatives from pharmaceutical companies.
During his address, the minister commended the pharmacists' support for the armed forces during the Battle of Dignity. He emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the optimal use of medicines and called for enhanced coordination between pharmaceutical entities and the private sector to advance healthcare within the state. Dr. Adam also committed to addressing challenges faced by the pharmaceutical sector.
Dr. Hassan Othman, Director of Medical Supplies, highlighted the professional and humanitarian contributions of pharmacists amid ongoing conflicts. Additionally, a representative from the Pharmacy Administration reaffirmed the importance of maintaining a supervisory role and continuing personnel training.
