Damascus: Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs Maj. Gen. Abdelkader Tahan met with a delegation from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to discuss avenues for enhancing cooperation in the fight against drugs and organized crime.
According to Syrian Arab News Agency, the meeting, which took place at the ministry’s headquarters, emphasized the significance of ongoing coordination and collaboration between the two entities to meet strategic objectives and bolster international efforts against transnational crimes.
The dialogue also explored prospective projects designed to support the Interior Ministry’s initiatives to ensure security and reinforce the rule of law.
