Lianyungang: Minister of Interior, General Babiker Samra Mustafa, headed a high-level delegation participating in the 2026 Global Public Security Cooperation Forum and the Third China-East Africa Ministerial Dialogue on Law Enforcement and Security Cooperation, held in Lianyungang from September 8 to 10 under the theme 'Solidarity in Public Security Governance for Stability in a Turbulent World.'
According to Sudan News Agency, the forum brought together interior ministers and police chiefs from around the world. China's Minister of Public Security opened the forum and delivered a keynote address, emphasizing that global public security governance relies on sincere and practical cooperation among all countries. He affirmed China's readiness to collaborate with all parties to advance the four global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, enhance international cooperation on stability, uphold multilateralism, improve governance capacities, promote sustainable development, address emerging security challenges, and enhance global public security governance.
General Babiker Samra outlined the security challenges Sudan has faced since the outbreak of the rebellion of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. He reported that stability had returned to most Sudanese states, with ongoing efforts to rebuild and promote development under the Government of Hope. He highlighted the new security challenges facing the world, such as transnational crime and cybercrime, and the necessity to safeguard cybersecurity. He endorsed the launch of the International Alliance against Online Fraud through digital social media platforms and reaffirmed Sudan's commitment to practical cooperation with China and East African countries in combating both traditional and non-traditional crimes.
During the forum, General Babiker Samra Mustafa also met with China's Vice Minister of Public Security. The discussions focused on bilateral relations and cooperation in public security and law enforcement, as well as issues of common interest.
