New York:Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salem met with Austria's Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, Ms. Beate Meinl-Reisinger, during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting involved a briefing by the Sudanese minister on the current developments in Sudan and the country's efforts to achieve security and stability. He expressed hope for Austria's support for Sudanese issues within the UN Security Council.
Discussions also focused on enhancing cooperation and coordination between Sudan and Austria on matters of mutual interest. Ms. Beate Meinl-Reisinger affirmed Austria's commitment to supporting Sudan's security and stability, emphasizing the importance of ongoing diplomatic efforts to assist the Sudanese people and promote peace across the country.
The meeting concluded with both parties agreeing to continue diplomatic communication and coordination in the coming period to strengthen bilateral relations and support issues of common interest in international forums.
