Alexandria: Foreign Minister Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salem inaugurated the new premises of the Sudanese Consulate General in Alexandria, praising Egypt's support and hospitality toward Sudanese nationals and describing the new consulate as a reflection of the strong and historic ties between the two countries.
According to Sudan News Agency, the minister stated that the consulate would help facilitate services for the Sudanese community and promote cooperation in trade, investment, and other areas. He also expressed appreciation for Egypt's continued support and stressed that Sudanese diplomacy would continue to support efforts to restore security and stability in Sudan.
Sudan's Ambassador to Egypt, Imad-Eddin Adawi, noted that the new consulate would ease the burden on Sudanese residents in Alexandria by facilitating consular services, with passport services to be introduced in the near future.
