Doha: The Fifth Arab Military Sports Medicine Symposium concluded in Doha on Wednesday, after bringing together delegations from 16 member states of the Arab Military Sports Federation.According to Sudan News Agency, the symposium was held under the patronage of Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Mannai, Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, and under the supervision of the Arab Military Sports Federation. The participating countries were Jordan, Bahrain, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Somalia, Oman, Palestine, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, and Qatar, the host country.Sudan was represented by a delegation comprising Lieutenant General Abdel-Khair Abdullah Nasser, Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration of the Sudanese Armed Forces; Major General Ahmed Adam Abkar Mohamed, Director of the Military Sports Department; and Colonel Dr. Mohamed Al-Khatim, Consultant in Orthopaedic Surgery, Arthroscopy, and Sports Medicine.The closing ceremony was attended by M ajor General Dr. Yousef Dismal Al-Kuwari, President of the Arab Military Sports Federation, who underscored the importance of the event in strengthening Arab cooperation in military sports medicine. Prior to the conclusion of the symposium, a ceremony was held to present and exchange commemorative shields. Lieutenant General Abdelkhair Abdullah Nasser honored Major General Dr. Yousef Dismal Al-Kuwari, who in turn presented a commemorative shield to Lieutenant General Abdel-Khair in recognition of his attendance and participation.Bringing together delegations from 16 Arab countries, the symposium provided a leading scientific and military platform for exchanging expertise and strengthening cooperation in the field of military sports medicine.
