Federal Health Ministry Launches TOT Course to Strengthen Community Health Cadres

Asmara: The Federal Ministry of Health, through the Comprehensive Health Planning Administration, has launched a Training of Trainers (TOT) course under the ‘Share’ project, aimed at developing community health cadres across five states.

According to Sudan News Agency, the course, running from November 29 to December 4, covers key areas including Nutrition Services, Integrated Management of Newborn and Childhood Illnesses (IMNCI), and the use of Recording and Reporting Tools within the Community Health Information System.

Tamaddur Mohamed Salih from the Comprehensive Primary Health Care Coverage Administration’s Community Health System Unit emphasized that the program seeks to enhance the efficiency of community health cadres, ensuring their work aligns with the standards set in the National Health Strategy.
