Khartoum: Minister of Culture, Information, Antiquities and Tourism Khalid Al-Eiser praised the significant contributions of Sudanese journalists and media professionals both domestically and internationally during the recent war. He emphasized their dedication to defending the truth and countering efforts to undermine Sudan.
According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Eiser addressed attendees at the closing session of the Sudanese Media Forum in Khartoum, where he advocated for greater dialogue and an end to polarization. He stressed the crucial role of free and responsible journalism in maintaining public awareness and combating misinformation and rumors.
Al-Eiser also confirmed the ministry's commitment to implementing the forum's recommendations and aiding in the reconstruction of media institutions that suffered damage during the conflict. He highlighted the importance of transforming recommendations into actionable programs and tangible outcomes in the upcoming phase.
