Al-Burhan Vows to Liberate Sudanese Territory and Addresses Amri Residents’ Needs

Marawi:President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, has reiterated his stance against negotiating with the rebellion and emphasized the goal of reclaiming all Sudanese territory occupied by rebel forces. He expressed appreciation for the sacrifices of the Amri area's residents and their contributions to the nation's development.

According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Burhan made these remarks during the opening ceremony of Al-Karama Secondary School in Village (5) of the New Amri area. He acknowledged the residents' sacrifices and emphasized the responsibility of the central government, state government, and local administration to improve living conditions in recognition of their service to Sudan.

Northern State Wali, Lt. Gen. Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Hamid, also reaffirmed the state government's commitment to resolving longstanding issues in the Amri area. He praised the residents for their support in service projects and highlighted their involvement in the Battle of Dignity.

Director General of the State Ministry of Education, Al-Tijani Ibrahim, commended the local efforts to support education, affirming the ministry's dedication to enhancing educational services and staffing in the area.

Executive Director of Marawi Locality, Dafallah Mohamed Siddig, mentioned the formation of a committee by the Wali to address service and agricultural project issues in Amri. This committee will begin its work immediately to assess and meet the area's needs.

During his visit, the Northern State Wali inaugurated several drinking-water wells and inspected the Amri Agricultural Project and healthcare facilities, reinforcing the state's commitment to essential services for citizens.
