Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, praised the officers, non-commissioned officers, and personnel of the Sudanese Police Forces, highlighting their longstanding traditions and disciplined institutional structures in carrying out their mission of serving society.
According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Burhan addressed the graduation ceremony of the 22nd batch of officer trainees at the College of Police Sciences and Law on Monday. He emphasized that the police had always enjoyed the trust of the Sudanese people, serving as vigilant guardians of their security and stability while protecting and safeguarding their rights.
He commended the pioneering generation of police leaders who established these values and highlighted the Police Forces' contributions to supporting the 'Battle of Dignity.' Al-Burhan noted that the Police Forces had fought alongside the Armed Forces in the battle, stressing their role in protecting citizens' rights and underscoring their heritage and traditions.
The TSC President reassured the Sudanese people that the Armed Forces, supported by other regular forces, are progressing toward restoring security and stability across the country. He affirmed that the enemy would be defeated, allowing citizens to return to their areas and villages to resume normal lives.
Al-Burhan stated that discussions on possible sanctions against Sudan would not affect the country or weaken its resolve, asserting, 'Our lives and destiny are in Allah's hands.' He urged the Sudanese people to disregard rumors about imposing a no-fly zone, reaffirming Sudan's determination to continue the 'Battle of Dignity' until all territory is liberated from rebellion.
He also addressed those supporting sanctions from abroad, asserting that the Sudanese people would not be broken and that such attempts would end in failure. He stated that these individuals would not be able to govern the Sudanese people again.
General Al-Burhan praised the sacrifices made by the Sudanese people in this national battle, emphasizing that they do not wish to see the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and the Forces of Freedom and Change (FFC) return to the political scene. Regarding the Juba Peace Agreement, he noted that the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North, led by TSC Vice-President Malik Agar, had joined the Armed Forces, urging other armed movements to do the same.
