Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, conducted an inspection of the Khartoum Oil Refinery in the Al-Gaili area, north of Bahri. During his visit, he assessed the extent of the damage inflicted on this crucial economic facility and emphasized the government’s commitment to restoring it to full operational capacity.
According to Sudan News Agency, General Al-Burhan affirmed the state’s determination to hold the terrorist militia of Al-Dagalo accountable for their acts of vandalism and sabotage against infrastructure and strategic facilities. He underscored that these vital facilities are the property of the Sudanese people, and the attacks were intended to undermine the nation’s economic and developmental potential.
The TSC President, along with his delegation, toured the refinery’s various departments, engaging with engineers and technicians. The refinery manager briefed them on the technical team’s ongoing efforts to evaluate losses and address the issues. Engineers and technicians are currently focused on repairing some of the damaged lines and warehouses, with the aim of restoring the refinery’s operational capabilities.
