Khartoum: Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Professor Issmat Gurashi met Revolutionary Awakening Council (RAC) Chairman Sheikh Musa Hilal on Monday to discuss national issues and efforts to unite Sudanese forces in support of peace, reconstruction, and economic recovery. According to Sudan News Agency, Gurashi highlighted the extensive damage caused by the war to state assets and agricultural projects, which has disrupted economic and productive activity. He emphasized the need to rehabilitate the agricultural sector and provide support to producers as essential steps towards economic recovery. Gurashi further stated that the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Council of Ministers are convinced that Sudan's economic recovery hinges on production, underscoring the agricultural sector's importance as a foundational pillar of the national economy. Sheikh Musa Hilal expressed gratitude for the minister's reception and reaffirmed the council's commitment to Sudan's unity and social cohesion. He emph asized the importance of collaborating with all national forces to navigate the current crisis. Hilal applauded the government's diplomatic efforts and participation in international forums, stressing the necessity of unifying the national discourse and supporting initiatives that serve Sudan's interests. He also commended the ongoing reconstruction efforts, advocating for constructive actions that focus on rebuilding rather than further destruction.
