Damazin: Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Malik Aggar, concluded his visit to the Blue Nile Region on Saturday morning. Aggar was seen off at Damazin Airport by the Governor of the Blue Nile Region, Lt. General Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, and several members of the regional government, leaders of the regular organs, and other officials.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Culture, Media and Tourism, and official spokesman for the regional government, Abdul-Ghani Degais Khalifa, stated that the visit by TSC Vice-President Aggar has achieved significant gains that support efforts to enhance peace, stability, and comprehensive development in the region. During his visit, General Aggar announced his support and sponsorship for the program aimed at returning displaced persons (IDPs) to their areas within the region and neighboring states, as well as returnees from Ethiopia and South Sudan. He also expressed his interest in rebuilding areas destroyed
by the war and supporting health and education services.
The official spokesman further noted that the visit included meetings with the leadership of the Shura Council of the Rufaa and Kenana tribes, as well as with components of the security bodies in the region. TSC Vice-President Aggar issued several directives, emphasizing the need to support the armed forces in the Battle of Dignity to resolve and cleanse the pockets of rebellion in the western and southern areas of the region.
General Aggar also urged efforts to promote values of tolerance and forgiveness, work towards unity, reject hate speech, and support community reconciliations while adhering to the law and justice.
