Youth and Sports Minister Advocates for Youth Involvement in Environmental Protection

Khartoum: Youth and Sports Minister Professor Ahmed Adam, accompanied by members of the Federal Sports Caravan, attended the Tree Day celebration organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation in front of the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Division.According to Sudan News Agency, the event was graced by the presence of Blue Nile Region Governor Ahmed Al-Omda Badi and 4th Infantry Division Commander Major General Ismail Al-Tayeb Abbas. The celebration coincided with the 72nd anniversary of Sudanese Armed Forces Day, highlighting the importance of youth in environmental initiatives.Professor Ahmed Adam emphasized the crucial role that young people play in tree-planting and environmental protection programs. He described youth as the largest force capable of leading community initiatives and announced that the ministry would actively encourage their participation in planting and caring for trees. Furthermore, he emphasized plans to integrate environmental activities with youth, sports, and sustain able development programs.The minister pointed out that the involvement of the Federal Sports Caravan in the Tree Day celebration in Al-Damazin signifies the broader role of youth beyond sports. He urged young people to take initiative in expanding vegetation cover and preserving natural resources, underscoring that investing in youth is equivalent to investing in Sudan's future.Through their participation in tree planting, youth demonstrate a practical commitment to fostering a better environment and ensuring a more sustainable future for Sudan.
