Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Shams-Eddin Kabbashi, recently convened with Major General (Ret.) Hamid Hamad Teirab Al-Taher, the Wali of West Kordofan State, to discuss key issues affecting the region.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting served as an occasion for the Wali to extend congratulations on the accomplishments of the Armed Forces and allied forces. The discussion also coincided with the celebration of the 72nd anniversary of Armed Forces Day. The Wali highlighted the challenges facing West Kordofan, particularly issues related to displacement, and provided an overview of the humanitarian situation in the state.
The Wali reported receiving a positive and understanding response from General Kabbashi, who assured continued support for the state's efforts in advancing development and addressing humanitarian concerns. The Wali outlined the state's strategic plan to reclaim its territory and deliver essential services to its citizens. He emphasized the West Kordofan government's commitment to training and mobilization to overcome and eliminate any rebellion.
In addition, the Wali briefed General Kabbashi on efforts to facilitate the return of displaced citizens to their homes, offering them necessary support and focusing on reconstruction. The state is also preparing for post-conflict development, prioritizing reconciliation and the restoration of social cohesion as integral components of the process.
