Port sudan: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohamed Tahir, met on Thursday in Port Sudan with Director-General of the Sudan Shipping Lines, Omar Khalifa Ali.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Director-General briefed Dr. Nuwara on the performance of Sudan Shipping Lines, current company conditions, and future plans, programs, and projects aimed at advancing the sector. The discussion also covered operations in shipping, unloading, and logistics services.
Omar Khalifa highlighted the positive developments and concrete steps taken toward the national carrier owning its own fleet, emphasizing ongoing efforts to elevate and develop this vital maritime facility to reflect Sudan's strategic maritime standing.
Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohamed pledged to help remove all impediments to enable Sudan Shipping Lines to fulfil its strategic role in supporting the national economy.
