El-Alamein:President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, met with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi during a consultative summit involving leaders from Sudan, Egypt, Eritrea, and Somalia.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting was attended by key officials, including Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salem, Director-General of the General Intelligence Service General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, Director of the Office of the President of the TSC Major General Tariq Saud, and Sudan's Charg© d'Affaires in Egypt Ambassador Omar Al-Farouq.
The discussions focused on reviewing and enhancing the bilateral relations between Sudan and Egypt. The leaders considered developments in Sudan and several regional and international issues of mutual interest, emphasizing coordination between the two countries to serve their shared interests.
General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan expressed his appreciation for Egypt's supportive stance on Sudan's unity, stability, and sovereignty. President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi reiterated Egypt's support for Sudan's territorial integrity and the unity of its institutions, pledging continued support to the Sudanese people across various sectors.
The Egyptian President also reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation frameworks to meet the development and prosperity aspirations of both the Sudanese and Egyptian peoples.
