Khartoum:Foreign Minister Mohi-Eddin Salem emphasized the country's focus on recovery and repatriation initiatives following recent victories by the Armed Forces. He highlighted the state's commitment to creating conditions conducive to citizens returning to stable and dignified lives.
According to Sudan News Agency, Ambassador Salem addressed the extensive devastation left by militias, emphasizing the need for significant recovery efforts. He noted the importance of cooperation from international allies and highlighted humanitarian initiatives, such as opening border crossings and collaborating with the United Nations, despite reduced support from donors.
The minister also addressed the economic challenges posed by conflicts in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab Al-Mandab, stressing the necessity of collective efforts to help both returning expatriates and internally displaced Sudanese restore their lives. He underscored the role of the state and the Armed Forces in ensuring the protection and well-being of citizens.
Ambassador Salem reiterated Sudan's commitment to regional stability, asserting the nation's adherence to principles of peaceful coexistence and good neighborliness, while maintaining a stance against aggression.
