Bangui: Sudan's Ambassador to the Central African Republic, Bushra Ahmed Idris, met with President of the Central African Republic Professor Faustin-Archange Touad©ra in Bangui during his participation in the activities of the First National Week of Trees and Forests.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings and congratulations of President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan to President Touad©ra on the successful organization of the event. He also conveyed the condolences of the Government and people of Sudan over the victims of the collapse of the Zombie artisanal mining site near the border with Cameroon.
The meeting discussed developments in Sudan and the wider region, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral relations in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and their peoples.
For his part, President Touad©ra expressed appreciation for the condolences extended by the Sudanese leadership and wished for peace and stability in Sudan and the region. He reaffirmed his country's commitment to strengthening relations with Sudan.
