Khartoum: Sudan's Defence Minister, Hassan Daoud Kabron Kayan, engaged in discussions with Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani, at the latter's office during his official visit to Qatar. The meeting, held on Sunday, focused on strengthening and developing bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
According to Sudan News Agency, both leaders explored mutual interests and discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the defence field. The discussions were attended by several senior officers and officials from both sides, emphasizing the significance of the meeting. Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani highlighted the importance of these discussions, noting that they also touched on the latest developments in the region amid current regional security dynamics.
In a post on X, Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister mentioned, "We also discussed the latest developments in the region in light of the current regional security developments," underscoring the importance of the dialogue in the context of ongoing regional challenges.
