Private Sector in Sudan Committed to Economic Recovery Recommendations

Khartoum:The President of the Sudanese General Federation of Employers, Muawiya Mohamed Ahmed Al-Burair, has expressed the private sector's commitment to executing the recommendations from the High-Level Dialogue on the Recovery of Sudan's Private Sector. He emphasized the importance of establishing a mechanism to translate these recommendations into actionable steps.According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Burair highlighted the significance of the dialogue's conclusion as a starting point for implementing its recommendations to achieve economic recovery. He stated that the Federation is ready to support the state's efforts in rebuilding the economy and reviving production.Al-Burair underscored the private sector's dedication to responsible investment and fulfilling social responsibility obligations. He mentioned the Federation's signing of the United Nations Global Compact, which aligns with global corporate social responsibility and sustainability initiatives.The Federation's President expressed the organi zation's willingness to maintain an ongoing dialogue with the government and partners to ensure economic recovery. He hopes the dialogue outcomes will soon lead to prosperity and well-being for Sudan.Al-Burair commended the UN initiative for its involvement with private-sector issues and the Ministry of Finance's efforts in organizing the dialogue. He also praised the contributions of businesspersons, young entrepreneurs, regional and international partners, and media organizations in addressing challenges and supporting the transition from conflict to economic rebuilding and production restoration.
