Port sudan: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris has emphasized the necessity of consolidating support for the armed forces and their allies to successfully conclude the war of dignity and counter the insurgent Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. This call to action was made during a meeting held on Tuesday at his office in Port Sudan with a delegation from the National Popular Authority for Supporting the Armed Forces.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Idris underscored the role of the armed forces as a crucial stabilizing force, acknowledging their essential contributions and sacrifices on the battlefield. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the dedication of the armed forces and encouraged continued backing from various supporting groups.
Dr. Hassan Ali Abbas, the official spokesperson for the National Popular Authority, provided insights into the meeting, highlighting the delegation’s comprehensive report on the Authority’s activities over the past two years. The discussions focused on the Authority’s planned initiatives for the next six months, aiming to bolster the armed forces and allied groups.
Dr. Abbas further mentioned that the Prime Minister commended the Authority’s efforts and assured his complete support for its programs. The delegation also presented a strategic plan for the latter half of the year, which emphasizes strengthening civil society institutions. Dr. Abbas confirmed that the Authority is committed to working under the Prime Minister’s guidance in the forthcoming period.
