Khartoum: Prime Minister, Dr. Kamil Idris, reviewed the Public Prosecution’s efforts in upholding and enforcing the rule of law. During his visit Monday to the Public Prosecution, the Prime Minister met with the Attorney General Intisar Ahmed Abdel Aal, Chairperson of the National Committee for Investigating Crimes and Violations of National and International Law, in the presence of the First Assistant to the Attorney General Kamil Mahjoub Ahmed Saad.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Attorney General briefed the Prime Minister on the work of the National Committee, highlighting violations committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), particularly against women, and the procedures followed to achieve justice for the victims of these violations. She also discussed the committee’s participation in the 60th session of the Human Rights Council held in Geneva.
The meeting underscored the importance of coordination and joint action among state institutions in combating corruption and enforcing the rule of law.
