Kassala: Minister of the Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Lamia Abdel-Ghaffar, arrived in Kassala State on Monday afternoon. She was accompanied by Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Professor Ahmed Al-Tijani Abdel-Rahim, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information, Dr. Graham Abdel-Gadir.
According to Sudan News Agency, the delegation was received at Kassala Airport by the Acting Wali (Governor) of Kassala State, Major General (Rtd) Al-Sadig Mohamed Al-Azrag, along with members of the state security committee and several state leadership figures.
Immediately following their arrival, the minister and her delegation held a joint meeting with the state’s security committee and state government ministers. The meeting focused on reviewing the overall security and service conditions in Kassala. Discussions included the state’s efforts to maintain security and stability, provide essential services, and respond to the effects of the ongoing war, particularly in terms of receiving newcomers from various states and areas affected by the conflict.
