White nile state: Minister of Culture, Information, Antiquities, and Tourism Khalid Al-Eisir condemned the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia attack on Al-Jabalain Hospital in White Nile State, describing it as a fully-fledged crime and a flagrant violation of the right to life.
According to Sudan News Agency, the minister issued a statement on Friday mourning the national martyrs who were killed in the RSF's assault. He described the incident as a "fully constituted crime" that breaches humanitarian values and international humanitarian law.
Al-Eisir emphasized that the targeting of health facilities and personnel is not an act of war but a direct attack on the right to life. He expressed that such actions reflect a methodology based on terrorism and intimidation, deliberately targeting civilians without restraint. He extended condolences to the families in Al-Jabalain and surrounding areas, praying for the speedy recovery of the wounded and asking for patience and fortitude for the bereaved families.
The minister called for a firm and responsible stance from the international community, urging decisive action to classify the militia as a terrorist organization. He stressed the need to hold accountable all those behind it or providing any form of support.
Furthermore, Al-Eisir held the RSF's regional backers directly responsible for the continued violence. He cited their provision of military and logistical support, advanced weaponry, and armed drones as factors contributing to the escalation and systematic targeting of civilian infrastructure.
