Kabashi Announces Imminent Return for Displaced Families Amid Ongoing Military Successes

Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Shams-Eddin Kabashi, praised the steadfastness of the Sudanese people and their courageous patience in the 'Battle of Dignity,' characterizing the current suffering and displacement as a temporary departure imposed by the circumstances of war. During a visit to displaced families from Darfur and Kordofan in Karari locality, Kabashi gave assurances that their return to their home areas was approaching.

According to Sudan News Agency, Kabashi stated that the state has prioritized the voluntary return of displaced persons to secured and cleared areas, with reconstruction efforts set to commence immediately once security is restored. He emphasized that military victories, such as those in Kadugli, are part of ongoing efforts to clear the nation of rebellion.

Kabashi commended the Khartoum State government and its residents for their hospitality and support for displaced people, while also praising the discipline demonstrated by the displaced families during their stay. He acknowledged the efforts of the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) and relevant authorities in providing essential services, affirming continued coordination with the state government to meet citizens' needs until their return home.

The Wali of Khartoum State, Ahmed Othman Hamza, also expressed gratitude towards the armed forces, supporting forces, and the Sudanese people for their sacrifices in overcoming the 'rebellious terrorist militia.' He assured the displaced families from Darfur and Kordofan that they are among their own people and in their homeland. Hamza highlighted that the area in Karari locality is currently accommodating 350 families from South Kordofan and 600 families from West Kordofan and North Darfur, with essential services being provided.

Hamza instructed the Humanitarian Aid Commission and related authorities to enhance oversight and improve the distribution of assistance to ensure it reaches those entitled to it. He also mentioned the preparation of service and social programs for displaced families, especially for the holy month of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, Siddiq Hassan Firini, Acting Minister and Director General of Social Development in Khartoum State, lauded the victories of the armed forces and supporting forces against the 'rebellious terrorist militia' and emphasized the efforts made by Khartoum State in accommodating displaced individuals from Kordofan and Darfur.
