Khartoum: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Dr. Awad Salam, emphasized the need for effective coordination and integration among the committees in charge of organizing the Sudan-Turkiye Industrial and Trade Cooperation Forum, scheduled for November.
According to Sudan News Agency, the forum is designed to ensure meticulous preparations, assess the work plan, and gather reports from the committees responsible for organizing the event. Dr. Salam, while leading a committee meeting at the Ministry, was briefed by committee heads and representatives from various ministries and institutions about their plans and the overall framework for the forum.
The meeting resulted in the decision to form a smaller committee tasked with studying and classifying proposed projects, ensuring they align with the forum's scale and the potential investments from Turkish business leaders. These projects will also be evaluated against Sudan's five-year development plan and the state's vision, which prioritizes industrial indigenization as a key economic strategy.
The forum's objectives include identifying successful partners in production and development and enhancing the utilization of Sudan's agricultural, livestock, and mineral resources by adding value to them.
