Khartoum: Indonesian Defense Minister General Dr. Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin on Wednesday received Sudanese Defense Minister Lieutenant General Hassan Daoud Kabroon and his accompanying delegation at the Indonesian Ministry of Defense headquarters in Jakarta. This meeting marks the first visit of its kind in the history of bilateral relations between Indonesia and Sudan.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Sudanese minister was given an official reception, which included an inspection of the guard of honor and a salute to Indonesia's national heroes. This protocol is customary for official visits by defense ministers to Indonesia, underscoring the significance of the visit.
Meanwhile, constructive talks were held between Lieutenant General Engineer Professor Ahmed Abaker Yahya, Vice-Chancellor of Karari University, and Dr. Anton Nugr, Vice-Chancellor of the Indonesian Defense University (UNHAN). The discussions led to an agreement to exchange expertise and collaborate in various academic fields, further strengthening the ties between the two nations.
