Ibrahim Jaber Reviews Security and Humanitarian Situation in Central Darfur State

Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Lt. Gen. Eng. Ibrahim Jaber reviewed the security and humanitarian situation in Central Darfur State, as well as the challenges facing the state government.

According to Sudan News Agency, Jaber held talks with a delegation from the state government led by Wali Mustafa Tambour, during which they discussed a range of issues, including education and the status of the previous Sudanese Certificate examinations, as well as preparations for the upcoming examinations.

The meeting also reviewed the results of an inventory of displaced people from Central Darfur who have moved to Khartoum State and other safe states, along with efforts to provide humanitarian assistance in coordination with the Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC).

The two sides also discussed ongoing measures to strengthen the role of the 21st Infantry Division in securing and protecting the state's nine localities.

The meeting further addressed the state's development plan in preparation for the post-war phase, including the provision of basic services and efforts to combat hate speech to promote peaceful coexistence and social cohesion.
