Foreign Minister Meets UN Special Envoy to Discuss Horn of Africa Peace Efforts

Khartoum: Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohy-Eddin Salim, met with the United Nations Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Mr. Guang Cong. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the situation in the Horn of Africa, emphasizing that cooperation and partnership between Sudan and the United Nations are essential for promoting peace, stability, and development.

According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting reviewed key areas of coordination between Sudan and the United Nations to strengthen the sustainability of security in the Horn of Africa region. The discussions were attended by Sudan’s Ambassador to Cairo, Emad-Eddin Mustafa Adawi, the Director General of the General Directorate of African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Al-Sadiq Elias, and the Minister’s Office Director, Ambassador Al-Hadi Siddig.
