Khartoum: Finance Minister Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim engaged in discussions with Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr. Badr Abdel-Aatty, focusing on enhancing cooperation relations and sharing expertise in financial policy between the two nations' relevant authorities.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting, which took place in Khartoum on Sunday, aimed at bolstering economic, trade, and investment collaboration between Sudan and Egypt. Discussions centered on facilitating trade movement, increasing bilateral trade volumes, and exploring joint cooperation in infrastructure projects, particularly in roads, transportation, and the health sector. These efforts align with Sudan's early recovery and reconstruction initiatives, leveraging Egyptian expertise in these areas.
Dr. Abdel-Aatty highlighted the significance of Sudan's involvement in the African Business Summit, part of the El-Alamein Business Forum in Africa. He emphasized the platform's potential for fostering economic and investment partnerships among African nations and advancing economic ties between Sudan and Egypt. The summit also serves as a venue to support Sudan's development and reconstruction efforts.
