Khartoum: Minister of National Education Dr. Al-Tohami Al-Zain Hajar on Thursday officially announced the results of the 2026 Sudanese Secondary School Certificate examinations, with an overall pass rate of 69.6 percent in the academic track.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Examinations Administration revealed at a press conference held in Khartoum that the pass rate for the vocational certificate stood at 90.3 percent, while the pass rate for the Holy Quran and Islamic Studies certificate was 89.5 percent. The Technical Education Certificate, which encompasses industrial, commercial, agricultural, and women's education tracks, had a pass rate of 65.4 percent. Additionally, the pass rate at 84 overseas examination centers in 17 countries reached 67.9 percent.
At the press conference, Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Omar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of National Education and Chairman of the Examinations Council, praised teachers nationwide for their dedication and their role in the 'battle for education' as part of the 'War of Dignity.' He highlighted Sudan's strong education system and emphasized that the Sudanese Secondary School Certificate is the culmination of the general education system.
Dr. Omar assured the Sudanese people of the quality of their education system, stating that graduates become experts in various fields and contribute to development in countries worldwide, not just in Sudan.
