Dr. Nuwara Reviews Organizations Role in Humanitarian Interventions in Health and Environment Sectors in Khartoum State

Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Dr. Nuwara Abu Mohamed Tahir, called on national and international organizations, operating in the health and environment sectors, to contribute to reconstruction and redevelopment efforts in Khartoum.

According to Sudan News Agency, this appeal was made during a meeting with the Acting Humanitarian Aid Commissioner (HAC), Counselor Ahmed Mohamed Osman. The meeting aimed to discuss and follow up on the outcomes of a recent briefing session chaired by Dr. Nuwara in Port Sudan. The session involved national and international organizations working in the fields of health and environment.

The discussions emphasized the need for directing these organizations to Khartoum to operate in the health and environment sectors. Counselor Ahmed Mohamed Osman informed the press that he had briefed Dr. Nuwara on an operational matrix. This matrix serves as a roadmap to mobilize national and international organizations, coordinating with the relevant authorities to prioritize Khartoum as a focal point for humanitarian response, while also addressing remaining humanitarian needs for 2025.
