Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, declared that the ongoing battle will not cease until the rebellion is fully defeated. He emphasized, "The War of Dignity and Pride will conclude only with the end of the rebellion," as he addressed worshippers after Friday prayers at Saraya of Sharif Yousif Al-Hindi in Borri.
According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Burhan reaffirmed his commitment to the Sudanese people and honored the memory of the martyrs, asserting that those he described as "killers and criminals" will not have any place in Sudan. He extended an invitation to those willing to heed the call of duty to surrender, while maintaining a firm stance against any foreign agendas being imposed on the nation.
Al-Burhan highlighted the necessity of resolving Sudan's challenges through internal dialogue, aiming for national consensus and progression. He described the battle as multifaceted, intertwining with the nation's economic crisis, rising prices, and resource scarcity. He expressed confidence that Sudan would prevail, citing past successes in driving rebellion forces out of Khartoum and other cities.
He expressed hope that through the resolve of its citizens, Sudan would grow stronger, surmounting current challenges, and preserving its unity and achievements. Al-Burhan paid homage to the martyrs of Sudan and the War of Dignity and Pride, acknowledging their sacrifices for national unity and sovereignty.
General Al-Burhan also commended the Sharif Yousif family's patriotic support for the Sudanese Armed Forces in Borri and recognized the historic contributions of the late Sharif Zain Al-Abideen.
