Port sudan: Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism, Khalid Al-Ayesir, has emphasized the importance of delivering health and food aid to those in need, calling on the international community and partners to support the National Health Support Initiative. He affirmed his ministry’s full commitment to cooperate with all government bodies, particularly the Ministry of Health.
According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Ayesir addressed the launch ceremony of the initiative in Port Sudan on Monday evening. The Minister urged media institutions under his ministry and the Sudanese public to support the initiative and stand behind it until its goals are fully achieved.
Al-Ayesir stated that the devastation of Sudan’s health sector by the militia represents one of the most serious violations of humanity, stressing the need to join hands to establish new health institutions capable of providing medical care to all segments of society. He reiterated his ministry’s rejection of attacks on civilians, collective punishment, and blockades, calling for accountability of the militia and foreign mercenaries.
He reaffirmed the State’s commitment to ensuring access to essential services for all citizens across the country, particularly healthcare and medicine, commending the Ministry of Health for its efforts in combating diseases, particularly malaria and dengue fever.
