Al-Aiser Reviews Measures to Protect Sudanese Antiquities with Experts in London

London: During a meeting on Thursday with Dr. Helen Mallinson and Michael Mallinson Riba, supervisors of the Project on the Protection of the Living Heritage in Sudan, Minister of Culture and Information and official spokesman for the government Khalid Ali Al-Aiser discussed strategies to safeguard Sudanese antiquities.

According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Aiser expressed his satisfaction with the meeting, stating, “We were pleased today to meet the supervisors of the project on the protection of the living heritage in Sudan, in cooperation with the British Museum, Dr. Helen Mallinson and Michael Mallinson Riba, to discuss with them ways to protect Sudanese antiquities.” He further extended gratitude to them for their understanding of Sudan’s concerns regarding the preservation of its heritage and civilization.

The meeting also saw the participation of Ambassador Babiker Al-Siddig, head of the Sudan Diplomatic Mission in London, along with the mission’s technical advisor, Mohammed Saeed. The discussions highl
ighted the importance of international collaboration in preserving Sudan’s rich historical legacy.
